Location History

The location for Snakebite Saloon has changed a few times over the years. It was originally an old-fashioned shooting arcade called Bonanza. The gallery featured a bunch of basic animatronic figures like animals, a guy sitting at a piano in a saloon, and a cabin porch. Park guests would use infrared rifles to shoot at targets. When a target detected the infrared beam, some type of movement or sound effect would trigger. The guy at the piano would play a brief song. Some of the animals would rotate or move. Cans of soda on a wire would jump from one side to another. A traffic light would change color.

Lagoon closed the shooting gallery in the early 2000s and replaced it with another game of the same name. A decade later, the game was closed and a gift shop opened up. The gift shop remained in that location until the Saloon opened up. The ICEE machine from the gift shop remained and is the one currently found in the Saloon.
