The District
The District is a steampunk-themed area located in Pioneer Village featuring a few rides for families and kids to enjoy. The area is currently under construction, and Lagoon has stated they expect it to open sometime during the spring in 2025.
Rides
History
In late 2024, Lagoon put up signs on the construction walls that surrounded the old Log Flume area that read “The District at Lagoon Coming Soon”. This was the first hint at the new area coming to Pioneer Village. Lagoon then sent out one of their Fun Time Newsletters as Black Friday was approaching revealing that The District is an area that would include new rides.
“Featuring three rides, this new family area will invite guests to embark on a journey through time and imagination, where the line between the past and future becomes curiously blurred.”
Lagoon revealed the first two rides, Steamworx and Time Tinker, during the Black Friday sale and eventually announced the third ride, Rivets & Rotors in early January 2025. The District was open when Lagoon opened for their 2025 season on March 29th and only had Steamworx assembled and testing.
