Rivets & Rotors is a kiddie ride located in The District section of Pioneer Village and debuted in 2025 along with Steamworx and Time Tinker.

Ride Details

Rivets & Rotors is a rotating kiddie ride that features 8 helicopter-shaped ride vehicles with a steampunk theme. Each helicopter contains a bar that can be pushed or pulled to move the helicopter up or down as the ride rotates. Rivets & Rotors is the only ride in The District that has a maximum height limit of 54 inches making it the only kiddie ride in the area.

While the name and location for the ride is new in 2025, the ride is actually one of the older kiddie rides in the park originally debuting as Helicopters in 1963. The ride was giving a makeover and moved for the 2025 season to become part of the new District area in Pioneer Village.

History

Rivets & Rotors was originally called Helicopters and used that name from its debut through the 2024 season before it was rebranded. The ride has been moved 3 times. It was originally located south of Baby Boats then moved to the north side of Baby Boats where it sat until its relocation to Pioneer Village.

In 1999 or 2000, Helicopters was repainted to have different looks between the helicopters. Prior to this the helicopters had a blue and white paint job.
