Sky Fighter is a children's amusement ride located in Lagoon Amusement Park, Utah. Originally introduced in 1954, the ride has remained a staple attraction in the park's Kiddieland section, offering young visitors a whimsical flying experience.

Description

Sky Fighter features small airplane-shaped ride vehicles that allow children to sit facing either forward or backward. Each plane is equipped with noisemaker blasters, adding an interactive element to the ride. Unlike traditional aerial rides where riders control vertical movement, Sky Fighter lifts its vehicles once at the start and maintains that height throughout the duration of the ride.[1]

History

Sky Fighter debuted in 1954 under the name Kiddie Planes. The ride was designed to provide young children with a gentle aerial experience, distinct from other interactive flying rides where riders control elevation. Over the years, Sky Fighter has remained a nostalgic favorite, maintaining its original design and mechanics while continuing to delight generations of young park visitors.
