Ladybug Bop is a family-friendly amusement park ride. The ride, manufactured by Zierer, is a Double Family Freefall Tower, designed to provide a mild thrill experience suitable for younger riders.
Description
Ladybug Bop is one of two identical 40-foot vertical fall towers at Lagoon, alongside Dinosaur Drop. The ride features five double seats attached to a motorized ring that moves vertically and rotates around the tower. The ride experience includes gentle rises and drops, making it an accessible attraction for children and families.[1]
The ride is themed around ladybugs, with seats designed to resemble the insect. At the top of the tower, large decorative ladybugs and a flower bud enhance the visual appeal. The queue for Ladybug Bop begins at a giant mushroom, adding to the whimsical atmosphere.[2]
History
Ladybug Bop was introduced in 2006 as part of Lagoon's 120th anniversary celebrations. It replaced Skyfighter, which was relocated within the park. The ride is considered a kid-friendly version of Lagoon's Rocket, offering a similar drop experience but at a reduced intensity.[3]
