'''Carousel Candy''' is a candy shop located next to the [[Interactive Fountain]] on Lagoon's Main Midway.

== Shop Details ==

Carousel Candy contains a selection of candies, Lagoon merchandise, and stuffed animals for purchase. Most of the items in the shop are prepackaged goods. The shop does have counter in the middle of the shop where park guests can purchase chocolates and other candies make by Lagoon.

One of the big features of the shop is the various carousel horses and animals that are found in the shop's windows and above the center counter. The animals are originals from Lagoon's [[Carousel]] that were restored for use as displays in the shop. There is a small [[Turn of the Century]] moving metal display in one of the windows as well, and a large ferris wheel display on one of the walls that has rolling marbles behind it.

The building that houses Carousel Candy is a two-story building that also features [[The Atrium]] and [[Peacock Parlour]] with each section of the building having a different look and feel. The building was designed to house the two shops and center section with the second level of the building is not accessible by park guests.

== History ==

This is the second iteration of Carousel Candy at Lagoon. The first iteration opened in 2018 and was located in the same spot as the current shop. The original Carousel Candy was located in a single-story building that also contained a midway game and [[Scamper]], the children's bumper car ride. The building caught fire and burned down in December 2021. Firefighters were able to save the carousel horses from the original shop allowing them to continue to use them in the new shop.

Lagoon placed the names of Carousel Candy and Peacock Parlour on the construction walls that surrounded the old building in 2023 indicating that Lagoon planned to bring the candy shop back in a new form. Later that year, Lagoon placed an artist's rendering of what the building would look like on the construction walls as well. Construction of the new building went through most of 2024 with Lagoon wrapping up construction in time for the new shop to open when Lagoon's 2025 season started on March 29th.
